Air conditioning is the most common thing to go wrong in a Dubai home: a unit that runs but does not cool, water dripping from the indoor unit, a filter nobody has cleaned since spring. What you need in the UAE
To receive payouts you connect a business account. Have these ready — it takes about ten to fifteen minutes:
- A trade licence or a freelance permit that covers the work, and its number.
- Your Emirates ID (or passport).
- The IBAN of your UAE bank account — that is where your money goes.
- Refrigerant work and new electrical connections need the right licence and qualification for that activity. Quote only the work you are licensed to do.
- In buildings on central or district cooling, the chilled-water supply belongs to the building. Ask the client whether building management has been told before you go up.

What if the fault is in the building’s cooling, not the unit?
Say so in chat and do not quote the work. In towers on central cooling the chilled-water side is the building’s or the cooling provider’s; the client needs building management first.
How do I price a visit?
You set the price for each request. Say what the visit includes — the units, cleaning or diagnosis, parts and refrigerant — and what happens if you find a different fault.
How do I get paid?
In the UAE the client pays for the job by card through HandyMan, and you are paid out to your Stripe account after the client confirms the work. How payment, the fees and payouts work is set out in the Terms.
What do I need to receive payouts?
In the UAE payouts go to a business account: a trade licence or freelance permit that covers the work and its number, your Emirates ID (or passport), and the IBAN of your UAE bank account. Stripe asks for them when you connect payouts; HandyMan does not receive copies.
What does it cost to join?
Creating a pro profile is free. You choose the requests you answer and set your own price for each one.
